15.063 Beech Midget (Phyllonorycter maestingella) pupa, Mar. 8th 08. It has been removed from an over wintered mine in Beech found in North Dean wood the previous November. A tremendously exciting time as this was my first attempt at rearing leaf miners!

15.063 Beech Midget (Phyllonorycter maestingella) emerging from the pupa pictured above one day later. The pupa had been sitting on a work bench in the garage throughout the cold, dark winter in a state of suspended animation and now, three weeks after bringing it indoors it's beginning to emerge.

15.063 Beech Midget (Phyllonorycter maestingella), Mar. 27th 08. Another adult from the batch of mines mentioned above with a slightly "better" attempt at photographing the adult.

15.064 Nut Leaf Blister Moth (Phyllonorycter coryli) on Arthur Stott's plot at Skircoat Green allotments on July 18th 2009. Captured by day on one of his Hazel trees. It has to be said that Arthur's plot was more akin to a copse with a small
clearing in the middle to grow veg.

15.066 Grey-alder Midget (Phyllonorycter strigulatella) mine in Grey Alder at Ogden Water on Oct. 16th 2021. A lowerside blotch with many tiny creases.

15.066 Grey-alder Midget (Phyllonorycter strigulatella) mid-instar larva from the opened mine pictured above. Shortly afterwards the larva moulted to a bright yellow final instar.

15.066 Grey-alder Midget (Phyllonorycter strigulatella), the cremaster of the pupated larva pictured above on Oct. 24th 2021. At 200x  it shows the outer two hooks with a smaller inner pair that do not protrude the outer edge.
